  I had a negative experience camping here for Canada Day 150 long weekend. While the park itself is beautiful and the beach is nice, it felt a little bit like a money grab (paying per person, not per site). We were a small group that was quiet, respectful and kept to ourselves but I found that the owners of this place were still rude and really short with us - and have a lot of strict rules. (Don't take any dead sticks from the forest to roast your marshmallows - don't put garbage in their site bins, it's for recycling only, etc.) There are boats/canoes for rent here - but not nearly enough to accommodate the amount of people staying here. Sites were loud at night and not private at all. (We were near the beach.) Our site was missing a grate over the fire pit, there are no picnic benches - just a bunch of tables that cannot be moved, the firewood here is expensive and burns really fast (about $10 for an hours worth of wood) My verdict? Great place if you want to bring a huge group and party but as for me I won't be returning.

  DO NOT listen to the negative reviews!!! This campground (for the Algonquin area) is outstanding. The staff are understanding all around. The ONLY time you will encounter a rude comment, is if you being disrespectful to the other campers around you and not abiding by the rules - which there are very little! If you'd like to camp as a group and get a little roudy, your best bet is to ask for a site near the beach. If you'd like a more secluded and quiet site, ask for a treed lot away from there. The hot showers, flushing toilets and well maintained washroom facilities are def a perk for tenters staying a week plus. The owners are accommodating and knowledgeable for the area. Very nice. We will DEF be returning next year!

  This place is fantastic. The scenery is great, the lake is large and even has a desigated dog beach area if you have a pet. The management is extremely accomodating. I've been there twice and the girlfriend has been around 8-10 times and not once have either of us ever had any issues or trouble with management or staff being rude. The sites are well managed, clean, and even the outhouses aren't unbearable. Will definitely keep going back.
